My approach
I believe all people have skills to navigate life’s stressful times, and I help people enhance these skills and develop new ones.
I support people in building healthy relationships and creating lives worth living. I am experienced in treating people struggling with mood disorders, personality disorders, trauma – both past and present, grief and loss issues, and substance use disorders.
I don’t take a cookie-cutter approach to your treatment. Therapy is tailored to you based on treatment models I have found effective in my practice. My primary clinical approach has a foundation in
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and
- Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR).
Telehealth
My sessions are all conducted using telehealth. When the pandemic is more under control, I will offer in-person sessions again.

I’ve worn many hats in my nearly 30 years as a professional social worker.
Some of the difficulties I work with include
- recovery from substance abuse and addiction,
- trauma,
- grief,
- personality disorders,
- depression and anxiety,
- general life stressors,

You can never leave footprints that last if you are always walking on tiptoe.
